LADY WITH BOWL AND BIRD
This is my second attempt at the image, the previous was my first stone carving, done in July 1992, just a couple months after our dear mother Kay Powell passed away. It was not intended to be a portrait of her likeness, but an honoring of her spirit. That first one was in oolitic limestone. It is still in the flowerbed in front of our house.
This piece is carved in a lovely Rosa marble from Portugal, about 2 ft high.
