DRUID'S SWORD
This is the feather sword, the one that won't kill. In the old days, the Druids advised their kings and warriors, but they did not bear arms themselves. Their strength was in their wisdom, and the power to wield it. This carving is about 3 ft high, of Indiana oolitic limestone, and it sits on a granite base 2 ft high, on which the eternal spirals have been engraved. It used to guard the first stone circle I made at our old house on Reservation Road, and now stands watch outside my studio on Snee-Oosh. Like the Druids I can't help but follow, it is the closest thing to a weapon I will ever make or use.
