FLIGHT OF EAGLE ROCK
This is a small granite piece, only about 2 ft across, carved in 2010 as a model for a lifesize eagle project I was bidding on with 2 other carvers. We didn't get the job, but doing this was a major step forward, because granite is not usually used this way, and I discovered that it handled it just fine, and maybe soon I will go ahead and make much bigger flying rocks.
