Rock Family Circle
Camp Brotherhood WA, built and cared for by the Northwest Stone Sculptors Association in the summer of 2012, to celebrate our connection to this place where we have been gathering every year since 1990.
A place for quiet meditation, joyful gatherings, and observing the solar holidays.
As the seasons come and go in the circle, we mark the passage of time. Here are some pictures of the rainy and gusty 2013 Autumnal Equinox. There were four of us people there too, but I didn't get my camera out until the others had left. Pat did take some, and I'll add them later if I can.
In 2016, NWSSA held its last symposium at Camp Brotherhood, because the camp was sold to a new owner. Starting in 2017, we moved the symposium to Pilgrim Firs, a similar facility, by Port Orchard. So for now, this stone circle, and the spirit it embodied, will live on in our memories, and perhaps be reborn there.
